Holiday Decorating Tips & Tricks

Holidays at Three French Hens are magical, and we want your home to look and feel as such. As we have said before, our job is to help you make your house a home, and there seems like no better time to do so than during the Holiday Season. Here are some tips and tricks on holiday decorating from the Hens to you! 

Pick it & Mix it!

When choosing your Christmas theme, don’t limit yourself. Christmas doesn’t have to be only red and green. Choose what you love and don’t overthink it! We also recommend mixing your everyday with your holiday decor because we believe decorating for the holidays should enhance the beauty your home already possesses. For example, when decorating your mantel above the fireplace for the holidays, think about how you can incorporate your decorations with your current accessories (i.e. candlesticks, lamps, baskets etc.). Open yourself up to getting your creative juices flowing, and just have fun with it.

Fluff it & Fill it!

Walking in the store feels like walking into a winter wonderland. Don’t stop with just a tree and some lights on the roof! Our specialty is creating layers within the decorations. This might mean you have the cutest Santa figurine you want to place on your foyer table but you don’t want him all by his lonesome. Create an environment for him with some garland, candlesticks, mini trees or even some candles! Keep fluffing and filling until you are happy.

Top it & Drop it!

When it comes to trees no one does a topper like the Hens (in my completely biased opinion). Don’t be afraid to add a ton of stems into the top of your tree to drop in and create a focal point. Wrap it all up with a bow (or 5) and then hang those ornaments!
